Massage Discussion Groups

OMERI has initiated two different threaded discussion groups that are hosted at Yahoo! Groups on the Internet. We would love to have you participate! You can join either of them by going to the Yahoo! Groups main web page at www.yahoogroups.com

Orthopedic Massage

This is a group that is dedicated to the study of massage therapy for the treatment of locomotor pain and injury conditions. We welcome all practitioners who are interested in the discussion of massage therapy and soft tissue treatment modalities for orthopedic disorders.

Once you get to the Yahoo! Groups page, where it says join a group, type in the words "orthopedic massage." Click on the orthopedic_massage group and click join this group at the top of the page.

Massage Teachers

This group is for educators who teach massage therapy at massage schools, community colleges, trade schools, or in continuing education. The focus of this group is to discuss educational strategies, teaching issues, student concerns and any other topics related to teaching professional massage therapy.

Once you get to the Yahoo! Groups page, where it says join a group, type in the words "massageteachers." (no spaces between the words). Click on the massageteachers group and click join this group at the top of the page.

In order to join either of these groups you have to sign up with Yahoo!, but it doesn't cost anything -- it is mainly for demographic information. Once you have signed up, you should be able come back to the start page and sign in. These pages also have all the addresses for the list on them.
